this high performance school project from patent pending to production of LED technology

As the flashlights can heat up enough to pose a fire hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced to recall them. The recall involves 6-piece LED Flashlight Sets with flashlights made of silver led linear lighting plastic with black rubber around the handle and light base. The flashlight sets have UPC code 490021010049 printed on the back of the package. The sets include two small, two medium-sized and two larger flashlights ranging from three inches to 7 1/2 inches long.

According to research studies, lighting in schools can dramatically affect children’s health and their ability to learn. Children spend up to 40 hours per week in school buildings. Much of this time is spent under fluorescent lighting that emits hazardous radiation and radio frequency waves that contribute to a toxic “light polluted” indoor environment for students, teachers and staff.

The Enlightened Schools project was launched on FundaGeek, the crowdfunding site for technical innovation. Reaching their $112,000 goal will let SOL take this high performance school project from patent pending to production of LED technology that closely replicates natural sunlight referred to as full-spectrum light. Full-spectrum light research in schools has been shown to reduce hyper activity and learning disorders while improving health and performance in the classroom.
