The CRIUS II-XL reactor has been acquired for the volume production of InGaN-based high-brightness (HB) blue led high bay light epiwafer materials. One of Aixtron′s local support teams will install and commission the new reactor in the company’s state-of-the-art production complex in Taiwan.
Lately, Seoul Semiconductor and Royal Philips Electronics have agreed to enter into a cross-license agreement covering patents relating to specific LED technology areas.According to the arrangement, each party gains access to a substantial part of the other party's patent portfolios for various LED level technologies.

Acrich2 eliminates many of the technical barriers associated with traditional high-voltage and AC-driven LED solutions”“As cross-license agreement details are usually kept confidential, we have agreed not to disclose any of the terms,” says John Bae, vice-president of Seoul Semiconductor. “We will continue to focus our attention towards innovative LED technology and driving adoption through quality and value.”
Seoul Semiconductor has introduced its new product ZC (Z-Power COB), Chip-On-Board (COB) Type of Direct Current (DC) LED. And the recently launched ZC Series will begin mass production in December and will subsequently be available to customers.
