we need to greatly increase our production capacity
Dr Noren Pan, President of MicroLink Devices, comments, “Since our founding in 2000, our MOCVD III-V semiconductor materials technology has enabled us to manufacture world-class, high-performance microwave transistors. We have recently developed a novel, high-efficiency, proprietary GaAs epitaxial lift-off (ELO) manufacturing process that will significantly lower the cost of solar cells. As with the company itself, our technologies have grown with LED Linear high bay light equipment, so it was a straightforward decision to select a suitable production deposition system to bring our new products to market. With our existing capabilities now fully stretched we need to greatly increase our production capacity. The AIX 2800G4-R MOCVD system is the perfect answer and will bring us high throughput and manufacturing uniformity, while keeping a low cost-of-ownership.”
MicroLink Devices is a manufacturer of custom-designed semiconductor structures, which are used in microwave and optical communication products. Since 2000, the epitaxial wafers produced by MicroLink have been an essential input to the high speed communication industry. MicroLink Devices has also collaborated on research and development projects, the results of which have become widely-used commercial products.
Recently, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) reported that Canandaigua in New York was the first OLED pilot manufacturing site in USA.
The pilot line occupied 140,000-square-foot area. The Universal Display Corporation (UDC) who had been given $4 million by led high bay light was a member of the OLED pilot project. Also, UDC, MBT, New York’s Smart System Technology & Commercialization Center (STC) were partners on the project, which leverages an $11.5 million investment from MBT, state government incentives available through the STC, and municipal tax credits.

We are proud to announce the opening of our Canadian distribution center
The new Canadian distribution center increases InteLEDgent Lighting's
accessibility to the North American lighting market. Through the Company's
strategic alliance with Worldwide LED Lights Inc. ("Worldwide") InteLEDgent
Lighting also has a 30,000 square foot LED distribution center located in
Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. This east coast warehouse and showroom supports the
Company's LED sales in the U.S. and Europe.
"We are proud to announce the opening of our Canadian distribution center," says LaBranche. "The new facility will offer our customers faster shipping times, superior customer service, inventory backup, and the many benefits of having a high-quality LED Lighting supplier in their own backyard."
The new distribution center will serve as a central hub for Brand Neue's Canadian LED Lighting operations and include a fully operational LED showroom, Customer Service and estimating departments, and a sales office.
"Our goal is to be the trusted supplier of high-quality LED lighting products for local and national LED retrofitters," added LaBranche. "We have been receiving an influx of inquires to showcase the superior lighting experience that LED offers. For example, we are conducting a preliminary LED retrofit installation for a 70,000 square foot manufacturing facility; the return on their investment in LED lighting is estimated to be 16 months, with an estimated annual energy savings of 70%, and the added bonus that their staff is experiencing the benefits of being exposed to high quality, natural LED light - which studies have shown results in a more comfortable work atmosphere - less headaches, fatigue and eyestrain than traditional lighting."

these lights universally acceptable in any country
These explosion proof LED lights work well for paint spray booth operators because of they are lightweight, brighter and more durable than our standard fluorescent configurations,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics’ magnalight.com. “In addition, we offer a wide variety of regular and low voltage options, while saving the customer and least half of the electricity usage. With 50,000 hours of life per bulb and high vibration tolerance, operators can spend more time coating and less time changing bulbs. Finally, all of our hazardous location rated LED lights will operate on any voltage around the world, including 220V 50Hz making these lights universally acceptable in any country.
In Harvatek’s revenues, handset business accounted for about 40-45% and lighting business accounted for about 15%, over 20% for IT (notebook and monitor) products. For TV backlighting, Orders from Japan vendors were for SMD LEDs, which had higher profits compared to orders from Korea vendors, because the quotes for SMD LEDs are about double for Korea-based vendors' orders. So, Harvatek expected to increase 15-20% sequentially in 4Q which was a traditional weak season. For LED lighting business, the company was developing China retail channels and was offering component for SMD packaging for T5 and T8 light bars.Harvatek was working with lighting fixture suppliers and in 2011 will enter the SSL module market. It is reported that lighting and large-size backlighting business will account for 30-40% of Harvatek's revenues in 2011.
According to Carmanah chairman Rob Cruickshank, with this merger, Carmanah will be taking advantage of the vast lighting market's current shift to LED, and applying the joint resources of Carmanah and Lightech to satisfy the urgent market need for LED lighting. In turn, the resulting technology developments at Lightech will ultimately advance the capabilities and applications of Carmanah's outdoor area illumination product portfolio.
